In 45 BC Roman emperor Julius Caesar stretches February 24th to 48 hours, once every four years.

The celebration of one's birthday other than on its exact anniversary (February 29th) is dishonest and morally repugnant. When asked the usual question, "How old are you?", the only true answer is your age, not the number of birthdays. When asked, "When do you celebrate your birthday in off years?", "I don't", is the true Leaper's response. One birthday every four years should be enough for any of us. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;>)
