If the year is divisible by 100 then it is a Leap Year if it is also divisible by 400.

"There is one other leap day person at my place of work (The Museum of New Zealand),that I know of. I am still trying to find out how many candels he will have on his birthday cake tomorrow. He hasn't answered my email so I suspect that he is a lot older than me. I hope that I don't get any more crayons and colouring in books for this birthday as I did at my ninth and tenth birthdays. As a child trying to come to grips with my birthday plite, I questioned my mother seriously as to why she couldn't have delayed my birth or given birth to me earlier. She has now been let of the hook since I have read the book ""The Calender"" which was a bit of an eye opener as to the history of how ""we"" became unique. Lastly, at an early age I discovered the advantages of being able to play on ""...oh you poor boy, you are missing out on another birthday...."" bit. I often managed to stretch my birthdays out over a few days or pick the nearest weekend. Bye now. Paul. "
