In Jewish tradition, boys at 13 and girls at 12 or 13 have a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. At this time the child is considered an adult and responsible for his own acts. Last year on my 13th Leap Year Birthday (52), I had my Bat Mitzvah. I have a lot of fun telling children that I had my Bat Mitzvah four years ago on my 13th birthday.
